Construction has started on Huon's new Parramatta Creek facility

Construction has started on  Huon Aquaculture's new smokehouse and product centre at Parramatta Creek in the north of Tasmania. Huon Co-founder and Managing Director Peter Bender turned the first sod with Acting Premier Jeremy Rockliff, Senator for Tasmania Richard Colbeck, Wiley Managing Director Tom Wiley on April 11. “Today is an important chapter in the Huon story with the initiation of one of our biggest projects to date. Huon Aquaculture Open Day

The Huon Aquaculture Open Day was held on March the 2nd, 2014 at the Port Huon Wharf in the south of Tasmania. The wharf, which is owned by Huon and used to construct many of the company’s farming vessels, was transformed into a walk through demonstration of salmon farming and Huon’s operations. Huon Helping Hand Community Grants

Applications for Round 1 of Huon’s Helping Hand community grants are NOW CLOSED! But don’t despair, Round 2 opens in March 2014 so please hold on to that great idea, project or program – we look forward to seeing it then. We know that a little bit of help can go a long way, and we want to help make our community a better place. We’re offering grants of up to $3,000 for projects, events or initiatives that support sustainable community development and we encourage everyone to think about how a community grant from Huon Aquaculture could benefit your community. Premium Tasmanian salmon on the menu this Christmas
